Data Visualization of Swiss Corona Cases

With increasing Corona case numbers in late summer, our company was looking for a plan of action based on risk level. We decided to take the 14-day incidence, also used for risk assessment abroad by FOPH, as an indicator. To visualize this indicator for cantons and ZIP codes in Zurich on a map, I forked Robert Salzer's Corona dashboard. In this talk, I will present the lessons learned. a) Why it is crucial to have a clear concept of what to visualize. b) How open data allows the community to set a different focus. c) How open-source software can mutually fertilize similar projects.
